Affiliate Relationships
Some links here are affiliate links. Order through one, I get a commission at no extra cost to you. The commission doesn't shape which pieces get covered or how. Nothing on this site is a paid placement. If something didn't hold up, the review says so.
How I Test
Three filters before anything gets published. One: I've actually used the piece. Two: I've used it long enough to see it hold up or fall apart. Three: I can describe a specific moment where it made a difference, or where it didn't.
For chairs and desks, that usually means at least a full billing cycle of all-day use. Not a weekend setup. Not a first-impression unboxing. The shoulder-locking problem that started this site took months to show up in the first cheap chair, and it would have taken months to confirm in a replacement. I test on that timeline.
For sofas and rugs, the test is harsher because a toddler is involved. What held shape after a full season of family-room use, what went soft or pilled, which rugs came back from the juice box and which didn't.
A Note on Posture and Back Pain
This site reviews furniture, not medical equipment. Where articles touch posture questions or back-pain context, they reflect personal impressions from daily use, not professional ergonomic assessment. The information here is based on personal experience and isn't a substitute for advice from a physician, physical therapist, or licensed ergonomics specialist. If you have persistent pain, posture concerns, or a physical condition you're trying to address through your work setup, please consult a professional before treating a furniture review as guidance.
Individual Results
Reviews reflect how a piece performed under specific conditions in a specific household. Body type, work habits, and home environment all matter. Treat recommendations here as a starting point for your own evaluation rather than a prescription.
